Who Is The Leading Choice?

Joe Biden has been on the hunt for a vice presidential candidate and though many have pointed at Sen. Kamala Harris, there’s a chance she’s not the one. There has been a report that claimed a member of Biden’s vice presidential search committee issued a complaint against Sen. Kamala Harris. This has created lingering doubts over the issue of trust with his team.

Former Sen. Chris Dodd had complained that Harris was too dismissive about the attacks she made on Biden during the Democratic presidential debates. “She laughed and said, ‘that’s politics.’ She had no remorse,” Dodd reportedly said to a Biden donor. He felt it was a gimmick, that it was cheap for Harris.

Many had labeled Harris as the “do no harm” option for his VP pick, though that changed after expressing concerns about the bad blood that flowed between the two after the June 2019 debate. Harris had opened her attack on Biden by saying, “I know you’re not a racist,” and then accused him of giving segregationist senators a pass and opposing a federal busing program in the 1970’s that integrated schools she attended as a child.

Harris has been a favorite among the pool of Democrat politician choices for the VP pick, but many have cast a shadow of doubt over her and swung towards Congressional Black Caucus chairwoman Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif) instead.

Everyone has been pouncing and striking at the Biden campaign, accusing the search committee of misogyny and racism. Of course they have. It’s a bunch of arguing liberals. Everything is either going to be racist or sexist, no matter who they pick.

Several Democrats lobbying against Harris for VP have shared glowing reviews for Karen Bass, Illinois Sen. Tammy Duckworth, and former national security adviser Susan Rice, whom many have come to know through connections to Stanford University in the Bay Area.

“I don’t think Kamala Harris has it in the bag,” said former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

Harris picked at Biden’s policies, calling it “racist” down every corner to strengthen her argument. If Biden picked Harris as VP, she would have to shrug her shoulders and say “that’s politics” then renounce her original views on busing. That’s enough reason to reject most liberals as is. They ambush everyone with cheap shots then change their mind when the wind blows the other way or they continue working as double standards by changing the rules as they go.

Maybe we should go knock on his basement door to ask when he’ll pick a VP. It’s practically August already, Sleepy Joe.
