Vice President of the Flint, Michigan, City Council Maurice Davis just recently endorsed President Donald Trump in the presidential election. This occurred shortly after Vice President Mike Pence welcomed a Michigan rally for the second time in less than a week.
Maurice Davis has been a lifelong Democrat but recently reported his endorsement after being prompted by frustrations with the conditions in Flint and the black community. He was tired of Democrats telling them to “go vote,” meaning “vote Democrat.” He had previously voted for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton against Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
Davis talked about being a Democrat for 64 years, then switching over to the Republican Party this year after seeing the radical left’s political narratives over the last few months.
“God uses whoever he wants to at times like these. We’re tired of suffering, and nobody gives a damn about poor folks. President Trump, they reached out with nothing but love from y’all all over this nation. I don’t want to hear another time I’m a Trump supporter. I’m an American supporter. Y’all have more love. Now the Democrats call me every name but a child of God,” Davis said.
President Trump is getting the support of small business owners and entrepreneurs more each day. People are tired of the lockdowns and they want to get back to work. While the Biden Administration talks of mask mandates and more lockdowns, the Trump Administration advocates against shutting down the economy again.
“Before the end of this year, we believe we will have tens of millions of doses of the first coronavirus vaccine in the world,” Vice President Pence said.
Pence also talked about how President Trump will always put Michigan first when it comes to jobs and trade and energy. Michigan is a prominent state in the auto industry, which President Trump plans to announce a $150 million investment in a General Motors assembly plant in Flint. “That’s all a result of cutting those taxes and rolling back red tape, and it also has a lot to do with trade,” Pence said.
The Biden Administration believes that the Green New Deal is a crucial framework for meeting climate challenges and has a goal of achieving a 100% clean energy economy and reach net-zero emissions no later than 2050. This plan, however, would strip millions of jobs for Americans and put a final nail in the coffin of the American economy.
People may not want to hear the truth, but we’ve got real leaders like Davis speaking up for the American people and against the radical left.
