As red states pass legislation to crack down on divisive teachings such as Critical Race Theory, some ‘woke’ institutions have continued pushing CRT-based practices and initiatives in order to appease the radical left. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced that they will be pushing an initiative called “Mission Equity” that seeks to “remove systemic inequitable barriers and challenges facing underserved communities.”
NASA released a statement that they are a “21st-century agency with 22nd-century goals and that they will take the approach to address equity as they see it today. NASA Administration Bill Nelson announced that the mission will ensure that their programs are accessible to all Americans.
“The agency’s new Mission Equity is a bold and necessary challenge for NASA to ensure our programs are accessible to all Americans and, especially, those living in historically underserved communities across the country. Because when NASA opens doors to talent previously left untapped, the universe is the limit,” Nelson said.
NASA announced that their initiatives will address the following problems: Diversity and Equal Opportunity at NASA and in the STEM Community, opportunities for NASA to leverage its data, expertise, and missions to help underserved communities, barriers/gaps to accessing current NASA grants, programs, and procurements, and engagement and outreach with organizations and individuals from underserved and underrepresented communities.
But this isn’t the latest institution trying to take sides on political issues. The Central Intelligence Agency has also been pushing ‘woke’ videos about gender theory, radical feminism, and fighting against “patriarchal ideas.” One of the videos is a 36-year-old Latina mother, who calls herself a “cisgender millennial” with generalized anxiety disorder. For someone looking to fight “patriarchal ideas,” she spent most of the video hyper-focused on describing her own identity and what it means.
The second video was a White librarian’s experience growing up gay in the south. The video received thousands of downvotes on Youtube, with comments about how this man’s sexual orientation is highly irrelevant and that all small southern towns are discriminatory towards gay individuals. Other critics add that the CIA clearly takes a position on biological sex and have had their agency officials wholly endorse the “gender identity” term.
While the videos were supposed to outline the CIA’s mission to protect the nation against threats, most of the agency officials spent the time talking about their own identity and peddling far-left partisanship.
States like Texas and Florida have had GOP legislators working endlessly on banning the malevolent ideology of CRT in classrooms and workplaces. The concepts would teach students that traits such as ‘hard work’ are racist and were created by one race to oppress another race. It also claims that one race or sex is “inherently superior” to another and that an individual bears responsibility for actions committed in the past by members of the same race.
“When parents send their children to school, they want their students to learn critical thinking without being indoctrinated with misinformation charging that America and our Constitution are rooted in racism,” said Republican Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick.
NASA, the CIA, and even the military have forced political activism and ‘woke’ ideologies into their agencies. Proper job training has been replaced with concepts on police brutality, white privilege, and systemic racism, but employees are leaving left and right. While diversity, equity, and inclusion are important to each agency, these teachings are anything but…and the radical left knows that.
