White House Discusses Vaccine Mandates For Foreign Travelers While Ignoring The Border Crisis

A White House official just announced that President Joe Biden is working on a plan to require foreign visitors to be fully vaccinated before entering the country. This would be a part of his plan to lift travel restrictions that were imposed because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of the Delta Variant.

The White House has held many discussions with airlines over the possibility of vaccine mandates. But just imagine if former president Donald Trump had proposed something like this. It’d be considered “xenophobic” and ‘racist” just like the travel restrictions he first imposed against the pandemic.

It’s surprising the White House is so worried about foreign visitors arriving when they are letting thousands of migrants pour through the southern border, including dozens who are COVID-19 positive. There has been a flood of complaints from border town communities citing individuals who are coughing, sneezing, and dining in public while incredibly ill.

According to the White House official, Biden is taking steps forward to see what proof they would accept of vaccination and if they would accept vaccines that have not been authorized by U.S regulators. The official says they hope to “have a new system ready for when we can reopen” and that they will take a phased approach with fully vaccinated travelers.

No timeline has been announced yet and it is unclear when people will safely resume normal travel. Under current circumstances, non-U.S residents who have been to China, the European Schengen Area, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Brazil, South Africa, and India in the last two weeks are prohibited from entering the country. Other U.S travelers must provide a negative COVID-19 test within three days of travel, regardless of vaccination status.

Other countries like Canada and the United Kingdom have already relaxed some restrictions for vaccinated Americans to travel.

President Biden’s suggestion of vaccine mandates for foreign visitors has sparked a feud between the White House and many states. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott recently called it a “double standard” for how concerned the Biden Administration seems about travelers when the federal government has already released over 7,000 COVID positive migrants into the city of McAllen, TX. He told Sean Hannity that there have already been 1,500 new infected migrants in the last week alone, adding that the county has issued a local state of disaster.

The Administration is so out of touch they don’t realize what they are encouraging. If you come here legally, they’ll demand to see your vaccination papers and every document under the sun. If you float across the Rio Grande River, they’ll take you to a nice hotel free of charge. Or at least on the taxpayer’s dime. If anything, Biden’s whole plan sounds “very xenophobic.”
