Rapper Ice Cube recently called out the Democratic Party for how Democrats and Republicans can earn black Americans votes in the 2020 election.
He called out the Democratic National Convention, which included speeches by Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, and Hillary Clinton, for being sketchy. Ice Cube, whose real name is O’Shea Jackson, called out the Convention for having everybody eat up whatever they say without any explanation for what’s in it for the black community.
“I didn’t hear anybody mention a Contract with Black America, and I don’t know why because it’s one of the most comprehensive reform documents that have come around in a long time that could really address the problem. The way it looks, they don’t really have a problem. Everybody talkin’ about, ‘Get Trump out, get Trump out, get Trump out.’ If you vote, that’s gonna’ happen on the first day. So, now what? Trump out, now what? What do we get in the first 100 days? That’s what we’re trying to figure out. What do we actually get that they could give us overnight like that?” Jackson said.
The contract he refers to calls for addressing the root causes of racism and developing a roadmap for a comprehensive solution. It focuses on areas of banking and finance, justice, policing, education, Hollywood depictions, and a system of reparations.
Jackson also pointed out the 3 trillion the Dems pulled out of thin air to give to their friends. Taxpayer money was allocated to pet projects and the Dem’s richest donors, while small businesses continue to struggle.
“So we gotta start something right now. Democrats don’t seem like they got a plan,” Jackson said.
Talking about earning votes is not something commonly discussed for the radical left. They base their campaigns on triggering the right emotions, rather than political policies and agendas they wish to accomplish.
This is not the first time Ice Cube has expressed caution in trusting the Democrats. He even brought up the fact that MLK, himself, doubted the political will of the White liberal and their handouts to the black communities. He said they need to look from within and be honest about how they reimagine society and what America should look like.
Celebrities such as Ice Cube will continue to get battered in the media by addressing these concerns. If we’ve learned anything at all, you’re not supposed to question the left.
