If Trump Said This To The Coast Guard, Dems Would Be Going For Impeachment #3

Former President Donald Trump threw the media into a frenzy anytime he made a joke or side-comment. But everything President Joe Biden says gets suppressed by the media and swept under the rug. Things have gotten bad that President Biden recently mocked the United States Coast Guard Academy graduating class for not laughing at a joke he made and the news hasn’t caught on. How is this story avoiding a news storm?

Remember when U.S service members neglected to clap during Biden’s 2016 speech at a military base in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates? Biden said he had the incredibly good judgment to appoint Johnson to the Academy and when no one applauded, he said “clap for that, you stupid bastards.” Moments later, he appeared to say that the soldiers were a “dull bunch” and that they “must be slow.” It barely made the news. So much for giving honor and respect to our American troops.

President Biden recently appeared in Connecticut to give a commencement speech to the graduating class of 2021 at the Coast Guard Academy. During the speech, he referenced the description of the Coast Guard as “that hard nucleus around which the Navy forms in time of war,” a reference that former Vice President Dick Cheney made when he delivered the commencement speech to the National Guard Academy in 2008. At the time, Cheney received applause for the joke.

While Biden fumbled to read through the speech, his joke was met with silence and he appeared irritated at the lack of applause from the Navy cadets. He even joked that the graduates were a “really dull class” and suggested that the sun was getting to them.

“Why you’re a real dull class. I mean, c’mon man is the sun getting to you? I would think you’d have an opportunity when I say that about the Navy to clap,” President Biden said.

The graduates then responded with some light chuckles and applauded President Biden after he scolded them. Some social media users referred the clip to the moment when presidential candidate Jeb Bush had once asked his audience to “please clap.”

Biden continued in his speech and admitted that he needed “absolution” for his own college years at the University of Delaware for minor infractions such as “using a fire extinguisher to hose down an RA.” Some called it an embarrassment for the President to admit that and even joked that he needed absolution for admitting to plagiarism in law school and committing tax fraud as well.

He also quoted communist Chinese dictator Mao Zedong to praise the high number of female graduates in the class, as well as the increasing number of women in leading military positions.  “There’s a saying we use in a different context, it’s a Chinese saying, it says, ‘Women hold up half the world.’ It’s an absolutely stupid position not to make sure they represent at least half of what we do,” Biden said.

The radical left is so focused on imaginary domestic threats while ignoring America’s rapidly fading international leadership roles.

During another point in the speech, President Biden also struggled to recall the name of a Cost Guard lieutenant commander. He struggled to read her name off the teleprompter and said he didn’t want to “embarrass her.”

You’d think the President who received 81 million votes – the most in election history – would’ve received a louder reaction for his terrible and plagiarized joke. But Biden’s not a popular guy and he didn’t get that many votes. If anything, I applaud the graduates for not booing him. Just imagine the double standard if Trump had said this. Dems would be going for impeachment #3.
