South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem recently called for President Joe Biden to “back down” on his federal mandates to reduce the spread of coronavirus in the United States.

Noem stated that Biden does not have the authority to create these mandates. She argued that local governments should handle the pandemic response. She stated how it’s fascinating to hear that the president is so boldly saying that there is no federal resolution while continuing to impose mandates on the country.

Noem stated that the president took unprecedented actions to restrict the freedoms and liberties of the American people, we will win. She said that sometimes the governors are the only ones left fighting.

Noem said it is essential that we are able to care for our people. She said that they have shown that they do it the best. They’ve given us the resources we need to tackle this pandemic head-on, but let’s be flexible.

Noem went on to say this is why South Dakota has the nation’s number one economy. They have historic revenues, businesses, and people moving to our state. They value the freedom they can enjoy for their children and grandchildren and trust that it will be preserved.
