Former Border Patrol Chief Reveals That The Biden Administration Can Stop The Border Crisis…But Won’t

More people are demanding transparency from President Joe Biden over the out-of-control border crisis as they continue avoiding sending information to Congress and leaders about it. Things have gotten so bad that former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott even admits that there have been 400,000 migrants who have crossed illegally into the US. He went on Fox News to talk about how things have changed from the Trump administration border policies to Biden’s administration – and what to do next.

Scott claimed that the biggest change happening between border policies is the focus on border security and acknowledging that border security is critical to homeland security. He said his staff even warned people in some of the transition meetings that there would be an “influx of mass migration” that they would not be able to control. He notes that Alejandro Mayorkas was a part of Homeland Security at the time and knows how to control the border and get everything in place.

Fox News anchor Bret Baier then asked Scott what the motivation is if they know how to get everything under control.
“That’s where you get into the politics. I’m not going to speculate on what anyone’s motivation is, but I do know, that they were briefed, it was very clear. There are people involved in this process that have been involved before, and they’re choosing not to take simple common-sense steps to secure the border,” Scott admits.

Scott went on to say that with Title 42 and a Health and Human Services regulation, they could be met at the border, fingerprinted, and record checked. After the administration changed, there was mixed messaging that went out into the public saying that you were not going to get expelled if you were under 18 and that there was a “different process” for those coming into the U.S He said they immediately saw a surge of unaccompanied children and families coming through that started getting processed under Title 8 instead of 42.

Scott went on to say that it “continued to expand” and that the misleading messaging in the public today only points to Mexico or South America. He said Patrol Agents have caught people from at least 150 different countries in the last year and that the border is a bit like playing football.

“Basically, they fake a play over here and the real plays go into the left. So when we get distracted with 15,000 to 20,000 Haitians under a bridge that resulted in several hundred miles of the border having no Border Patrol agents on at all. That’s where the cartels push the narcotics through, the criminal aliens, people that will not give up,” Scott said.

16 Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee have also written to Biden over the border, with Ranking Member John Katko claiming that the situation “has spun out of control.” With over 200,000 migrant apprehensions in the months of July and August, the administration has attempted to stop Trump-era policies like the Migrant Protection Protocols, otherwise known as the “Remain in Mexico” policy. They have also halted the construction of the border wall, which costs about $5 million a day, and have limited the expulsions of Title 42.

The border is completely insecure and Border Chief Rodney Scott has made it clear that Mayorkas knows how to handle it. They are ignoring and rejecting it for political reasons, which is almost as concerning as the crisis itself.

Republicans in Congress and officials everywhere are demanding the Biden Administration offer transparency to the American people. Since the beginning of Biden’s term, his words have been one reality while his actions are another.
