During a recent press briefing in Wilmington, Delaware, President-elect Joe Biden was delivering a speech about Vice President-elect Kamala Harris receiving the COVID-19 vaccine when he accidentally referred to her as “president-elect.” Was this another gaffe or a Freudian slip about the next leader of the United States?

“I hope the president will clearly and unambiguously urge all Americans to take the vaccine once it’s available. I took it to instill public confidence in the vaccine. President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason,” Biden said.

This isn’t the first time Biden has highlighted a promotion for Kamala. He previously told people to vote for a “Harris-Biden” ticket during a campaign stop in Tampa, FL, and even referred to her as commander-in-chief. During a virtual roundtable in September, Kamala also called it “a Harris administration, together with Joe Biden” while discussing economic plans for the country. She corrected herself by saying “the Biden-Harris administration” shortly after.

People already had doubts regarding Biden’s cognitive decline, but are now wondering if he’s just slipping out the truth piece by piece. It concerns those who voted for Biden and not Harris since she wasn’t the choice of the Democrats during the primary. She is noted to have the most liberal voting record in the Senate, even outperforming Sen. Bernie Sanders, and was considered a ‘flip-flopper’ to say whatever she needed to get power.

Biden also asked President Trump to ‘clearly and unambiguously urge’ all Americans to take the COVID-19 vaccine once it becomes available to them. He said that Harris receiving the COVID-19 vaccine on television was a way of bolstering public confidence in the treatment, even though she spent months telling voters that she would not take a coronavirus vaccine developed and endorsed under President Trump. However, she received Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine, which was praised by the President.

President Trump has not received the COVID-19 vaccine yet since he may still have antibodies from contracting the disease back in October. “He will receive the vaccine as soon as his medical team determines is best but his priority is front-line workers and those in long-term care facilities and he wants to make sure that vulnerable gets access first,” said White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany.

Biden’s gaffes have gotten progressively worse down the campaign trail, but it’s not the first time he’s made this particular slip. It’s also not surprising when you give serious thought to the probability of this man receiving 81 million votes from his basement.
