Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has received a lot of support from the radical left, saying that once they take Georgia, then they will “change the world.” There are two Senate seats in Georgia that will head to a runoff in January, due to the fact that their election rules require lawmakers to win over 50% of the vote to win the seat.
These twin Senate runoff elections will decide whether or not Republicans keep their Senate majority or if Democrats control both houses of Congress, as well as the White House. On January 5, Republican Sen. David Perdue is up against Democrat Jon Ossoff. Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler will be up against Democrat Rev. Raphael Warnock.
The far left is looking to pack the Senate and Supreme Court so that they never have to give that power back. When the radical left starts talking about taking your guns, money, and speech, then we have a problem. Many Democratic politicians have actively spoken out against what radical leftists like Chuck Schumer. Rep. Ilham Omar, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are suggesting. They don’t want to pack the Supreme Court and will not vote on progressive policy proposals.
Sen. Joe Manchin has taken a lot of heat after suggesting that progressive policy ideas are the reason Democrats didn’t do so well in the congressional race. He sat down with Fox News host Bret Baier to talk about Chuck Schumer’s remarks and what packing the courts actually means.
“I will not vote to pack the courts. I think — and I will not vote to end the filibuster. Bret, this system, the Senate, this so unique body in the world, it was made to work together in a bipartisan way. And once you start breaking down those barriers, then you lose every reason that we are the institution that we are, the most deliberative body,” Manchin said.
He talked about fixing the Affordable Care Act instead of talking about Medicare for All. He also talked about ideas like “defund the police” and how he doesn’t know any of the Democrats in the caucus that are for defending the police. Manchin also talked about how he’s ready to work with moderate Republicans and said that they will help repair what needs to be repaired. He said that the upper chamber was made to work in a bipartisan way and argued that breaking down its barriers would make the Senate lose its essence as an institution.
People tweeted the Senate Democrat talking about abolishing the senate, along with voting to end the filibuster. Sen. Manchin has made it clear he will do no such thing. “If you get rid of the filibuster, there’s no reason to have a Senate,” he tweeted.
Time again, we see Democrats doing everything they can to hold onto power. While some Democrats defend and protect their party, others will block stimulus checks, count illegal votes, and pack the Supreme Court, even if it’s not in the best interest of the American People. But hey, it was never about the American people.
