It’s unclear whether or not Biden would actually make decisions if he were elected President but speculations regarding his role have been in the air for quite some time now.
Being that Kamala Harris ran for President, it’s clear that her role as VP has gained some attention in this year’s election. Some say Harris would have more influence than the typical vice president and some of the things she has said put that into question.
Recently, Harris made a remark during a virtual roundtable meeting with small business owners and referred to a “Harris administration.” This was during her talk about the campaign’s “Build Back Better” initiative to provide access to $100 billion in low-interest loans and investments from minority business owners.
“A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States,” Harris said, before quickly clarifying it as the “Biden-Harris Administration.”
Many people went on Twitter asking if the misstatement was a “Freudian slip” as critics of the Biden campaign insist that the VP spot is just a placeholder for now. People seem to think that Biden would be elected in temporarily until Harris is sworn in as President. This seems to be the case as Biden’s mental health declines more and more with each new interview.
The Trump campaign also tweeted that this gaffe “let the truth out.”
This isn’t the first time a slip-up occurred in the administration’s name. Joe Biden, himself, has even put Harris’s name on the ticket during a campaign event in Florida.
“A Harris-Biden administration is going to relaunch that effort and keep pushing further to make it easier for military spouses and veterans to find meaningful careers to ensure teachers know how to support military children in their classrooms and to improve support for caregivers and survivors so much more than we do now,” Biden said.
Harris-Biden administration? Well, he just wrote himself off there. Republicans have persistently questioned Biden’s potential as president, saying that he is being used for the radical-left political agenda and can barely get by without a teleprompter. Biden’s campaign team refuses to answer questions about his mental health and when asked about using a teleprompter, his national press secretary TJ Ducklo threw a fit on national television.
Biden has struggled with presenting facts to the public, following his notes, and even reading the guiding points off the teleprompter such as “top-line message” and “end of quote.” It’s no wonder Harris has started calling it the “Harris Administration.” At least she’s being honest.
