Donald Trump, the former President, recently criticized Joe Biden’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and suggested that he should be removed from office because of his failures. Trump sent reporters a statement saying that Biden claimed he would beat the virus, but instead, the virus had beaten him.
Trump stated that more people died of the virus in 2021 than in 2020, even though Biden was able to use vaccines and other therapeutics to combat the virus. Biden also mentioned a comment he made during the October 2020 presidential election, in which he questioned his leadership during the pandemic.
Biden stated that “anyone responsible for such many deaths,” which was around 220,000 in October 2020 “should not be elected President of the United States of America.”
Trump wrote that anyone with his results should quit office and asked Joe what he was waiting for?
Reporters asked Biden about his inability to “shutdown” the virus despite him repeatedly promising it during his presidential campaign.
Biden responded that they have to beat it back before it shuts down,” before acknowledging that “it’s going take time worldwide” in order to eradicate the virus.
